In the Holy Quran, Allah Almighty says:
“O you who believe! Fasting is prescribed for you as it was prescribed for those before you, that you may become righteous.”

Fasting of the eyes: Avoid looking at obscene scenes and things that are not permissible.
Fasting of the ears: Avoid listening to unnecessary songs, music, and useless things. Avoid gossip and backbiting.
Fasting of the heart: Cleanse the heart from envy, malice, hatred, and negative thoughts. Think well of everyone and keep praying for everyone.

The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:
“Whoever fears Allah, Allah will open for him ways and provide for him from where he does not even imagine.”

اَللّٰھُمَّ اٰتِ نَفْسِیْ تَقْوٰھَا وَ زَکِّھَا اَنْتَ خَیْرُ مَنْ زَکّٰاھَا اَنْتَ وَلِیُّھَا وَ مَوْلٰاھَا.(صحیح مسلم: 6906)
Translation: O Allah! Grant my soul piety and purify it. You are the best of those who purify it. You are its guardian and protector.
