Heart / Heart in the view of the Quran and Hadith
In Arabic, the word “heart” is used for several meanings: (1) A piece of flesh that is present on the left side of the chest (2) Intellect (3) Luminous essence (4) The centre of something (5) The summary and core of something (6) Opinion and strategy (7) Knowledge (8) Understanding, perception, and intellect.
The heart is an important organ of the human body, which plays a fundamental role in thought and action, just like the human body. Therefore, in the view of the Quran and Hadith, the correctness of human action depends on the correctness of the heart. In the Quran and Hadith, the heart is described as the source of intelligence, the ability to think, reflect, and contemplate.

The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, “Listen!
There is a lump of flesh in the human body. If it is correct, the whole body remains correct, and if it is corrupted, the whole body will be corrupted. Know that this is the heart.” (Bukhari, Muslim)
The light of Allah Almighty, which cannot be contained in the earth and the heavens, can be contained in the heart of a believer. Words are on the tongue, but their origin, that is, their condition, is in the heart. This is called the confirmation of the heart—these conditions penetrate from one heart to another, just as the companionship of the
Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) bestowed the honour of companionship on the believers. Even today, the love and companionship of the people of Allah increase faith and certainty.
The beginning and end of purification all depend on the reformation of the “” heart”—certainty of beliefs, the state of submission and contentment, the spirit of patience and gratitude, contentment and peace, trust, sincerity, and piety—all are based on the reformation of the heart.

Allah Almighty has described different types of hearts in the Quran:
Examine yourself: which of these is my heart?
Hard heart:
These are hearts that remain hard despite seeing great signs of admonition.
Then your hearts became hard after that; they became like stones or even harder. (Al-Baqarah: 74)
Rusty heart:
Because of bad deeds, rust grows on the hearts, and the result is that such people do not see the truth.
No, but He saw in their hearts what they were earning. (Al-Mutaffin. 14)
Sinful Heart:
Those who hide their testimony and refrain from telling the truth, their hearts are sinful.
And fear Allah, His Lord, and do not hide the testimony, and whoever hides it, his heart is a sinner, and Allah is All-Knowing of what you do. Al-Baqarah: 283﴾

Crooked Heart:
Those who spread mischief know that their hearts are crooked.
As for those who have in their hearts a sin, they follow what is similar to it, seeking temptation and seeking its explanation.(Al-Imran. 7)

Hearts that do not think:
They have hearts that they do not understand, and they have eyes that they do not see, and they have ears that they do not hear. Those are like cattle, but they are the most astray. Those are the heedless (Al-A’raf)
Indeed, many of the jinn and humans we have created for Hell. They have hearts, but they do not think; they have eyes, but they do not see; they They have ears, but they do not hear. They are like animals, but they have gone further than them. These are the people who are lost in heedlessness.

Sealed Heart:
Whoever transgresses the limit, his heart will be sealed, meaning he will not be able to receive guidance.
So they came with evidence, so they believed in what I had lied to them before. 74)

A sound heart:
A sound heart means a heart whose owner is free from doubts and desires and is steadfast in adhering to the divine commandments, acting on the blessed Sunnah of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), and following the noble predecessors. In Surah Al-Shu’ara’, Allah says:
The day that wealth will not benefit and no children will be created except by those who have come to Allah with a pure heart. And Paradise ascended to the pious
Qalb-i-Salim, which is committed to the commands of God and stays away from sin and sin, has been described by many attributes in the Holy Qur’an.

A heart that finds peace in the remembrance of God is called a contented heart.

Vigil Heart:
One type of a peaceful heart is Qalb-e-Wajil, meaning a fearful heart. One of the special signs of the believers is the trembling of the heart at the time of Yadi-e-Ilahi.
But the believers are those who remember Allah and their hearts are troubled. . .Good news has been given to those who have a fearful heart in Surah Hajj
And give good tidings to the misguided and those who remember Allah, and their hearts are moved.

Heart of Line:
Lean means gentleness, in the Holy Qur’an it is said that the hearts of those who fear God are soft, so it is in Surah Al-Zamr:
Allah has sent down the good hadeeth of a book similar to that of the skin of those who fear their Lord. May their skins and hearts be lubricated with the remembrance of Allah.

Humble Heart:
A heart that fears the remembrance of Allah is called a humble heart. It is said about this in Surah Al-Hadid:
Is it not fitting for those who believe that their hearts should be humbled for the remembrance of Allah and what has been revealed of the truth?

Heart of tranquility:
The hearts of the believers upon whose hearts Allah the Almighty has sent down tranquility can be interpreted as hearts of tranquility.
Those upon whose hearts tranquility was sent down were also given the good news of increasing faith and certainty and of divine pleasure.
In Surah Al-Fath it is stated:
He it is Who has sent down tranquility into the hearts of the believers that they may increase in faith along with their faith.

The Heart:
There is a Qur’anic promise to praise and praise God and to strengthen the hearts of those who believe in Him alone as God.
