Do you really come to meet Allah?

Do you really come to meet Allah?

1 – A thought that can change your life

We pray every day. Five times a day. Fajr, Zuhr, Asr, Maghrib, Isha. But have we ever asked ourselves

Did your eyes ever get wet during prayer?

Do you really come to meet Allah?

Did your heart ever tremble?

Did your heart ever say,

“O Allah! Today, my heart found peace by worshipping You”

If not… then there is something missing.

Do you really come to meet Allah?

Prayer is the comfort of the soul, the joy of the heart, and the meeting with the Lord.

Then why don’t we feel the same way in it that the companions did?

Why do we prostrate but don’t find peace?

Why do we read the Quran, but our heart doesn’t tremble?

Do you really come to meet Allah?

“Do I understand prayer? Or am I just completing the stages of bowing, prostrating, and standing?”

This question is not trivial but can change the course of our entire spiritual life. Prayer is not merely a physical act, but it serves as the most valuable channel for communicating with the heart, the soul’s journey, and Allah.

2 – Being present and being happy—what is the difference?

Often we are “present” in prayer. That is, we stand on time in the mosque or at the place of prayer. But where is the heart? Sometimes in the market, sometimes in the worries of the office, sometimes in the memory of the mobile phone, and sometimes in the dinner plan.

This is the moment where we have to reflect:

Do you really come to meet Allah?

“Am I only present in body, or am I also present in heart?”

Do you really come to meet Allah?

3 – Why is there no joy in prayer?

Are you truly present to connect with Allah?

There can be many reasons for not feeling happy in prayer, such as

Hastily performing ablution

Standing up for prayer without preparation

A crowd of worldly thoughts in the mind

The heart is not inclined toward Allah.

Not understanding the meaning of the verses of the Quran

But joy can come. And that too, very deep, touching the soul.

4 – The real beginning of prayer: with ablution

Most of us think that prayer begins with saying “Allahu Akbar.” But the truth is that prayer time begins in the heart when we go for ablution.

Ablution is an act of worship. It is not just washing the face or wiping the hands and feet, but it is an act of refreshing the soul.

When water hits the face, think:

“O Allah! Wash away the ink of my heart.”

When you wash your hands, make this intention:

“O Allah! Protect these hands from sins.”

This feeling turns ablution from an ordinary act into an act of worship.

5 – Make an intention while performing ablution.

When you stand under the tap or at the washbasin, bring this idea to your heart:

“I am getting ready to meet my Lord.”

Do you go to meet a king without preparation? No, right? Therefore, how can you approach the King of Kings without being prepared?

6 – The beauty of your clothes should also become an act of worship.

Allah Almighty says:

“یٰبَنِیۡۤ اٰدَمَ خُذُوۡا زِیۡنَتَکُمۡ عِندَ کُلِّ مَسۡجِدٍ”

(Al-A’raf: 31)

“O children of Adam! Take your adornment at every prayer.”

Wearing good clothes, maintaining cleanliness, and applying perfume are all important aspects of the etiquette of prayer. And there is blessing in etiquette.

7 – 2 minutes of silence before prayer

When ablution is complete, do not stand up immediately in prayer. Sit down for a while. Just talk to yourself for 2-3 minutes, and ask yourself:

Are you really coming to meet Allah?

“Who am I going to stand in front of now?”

In this break:

Turn off the mobile.

Close your eyes or go and look at the prayer.

Remove the heart from the world.

Remember the greatness of Allah.

These “silent moments” awaken the heart to Allah.

8 – Do not run to Allah.

Our lives are very busy. We reach the prayer while running. And the same race continues in the mind.

“Office project…”

“Tomorrow’s interview…”

“Children’s homework…”

“Market chores…”

And thus prayer becomes a formal act, not a spiritual connection.

9 – Make the heart the center.

The presence of the heart in prayer is the real goal. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said:

“Allah does not look at your bodies and forms, but at your hearts and actions.”

Happiness in prayer comes when the heart is turned towards Allah.

10 – The Spirit of Prayer:

When you recite Surah Fatiha, recite it as if you are talking to Allah:

“Alhamdulillah Rabb Al-‘Alameen”—O Allah! You are my Lord.

“Ayyak Na’abd Wa Ayyak Nasta’een”— I prostrate myself to You alone; I seek help from You alone.

Think of this: this awareness brings the heart to prayer.

11 – The heart should also move along with the tongue.

In prayer, often the tongue is reciting, but the heart is silent. But if we bring the tongue and the heart together, then

The eyes start to get wet.

The body feels light.

The heart finds peace.

This is the joy that is seen in prayer.

12 – After prayer, ask yourself a question:

Did I pray a “good prayer” today?

“Was this a prayer that I could offer to my Lord?”

If the answer comes from the heart: “Alhamdulillah, today I felt the heart,” then understand that Allah has granted it.

13 – Prayer: A meeting, a love, a satisfaction

Prayer is not just a fulfillment of obligations but a love of a servant for Allah, a peace, and food for the soul. And the same joy comes from it that comes to those who love Allah.

14 – Do not make prayer a burden.

Most people say, “The heart does not do prayer.

This means the soul has become sick.

Prayer is the medicine that heals the heart. It will seem difficult at first, but gradually the heart will start loving it.

15 – Remember this:

Prayer is not just an obligation; it is love.

Prayer is not just an obligation; it is a conversation with Allah.

Prayer is not a burden; it is a peace. Not running away from prayer, but connecting with prayer

So come on! Make a commitment today:

“I will not just pray; I will be happy in prayer.”

The main thing is

Do you really come to meet Allah?

“Prayer is not just physical worship; it is a spiritual flight.”

It is not just the fulfillment of an obligation but a sacrifice of the heart.

How do we feel joy in prayer?

How do we make prayer the food of the soul?

How do we go from just “being present”

to “connecting with Allah”

Come on, let’s all start this journey…

With the presence of the heart, joy and peace.

Do you really come to meet Allah?

Conclusion:

Prayer is not just an obligation but the most beautiful moment of meeting Allah. If we want, we can make this moment a source of joy, peace and spiritual delight. Just a little preparation, humility in ablution, peace of heart, and oneness of mind—these are the keys that make prayer not just worship but a means of connecting with Allah.

Remember,

Just being “present” in prayer is not enough…

Being “present with a living heart” in prayer is the real success.

Do you really come to meet Allah?

O Allah! Grant us the prayer in which You are pleased…

O our Lord…

Many times we have only performed the obligatory prayers.

Many times only the body stood; the heart was absent.

We came to You, but we worried about the world.

We turned our encounters with You into a custom.

O Allah!

Only You are present in this prayer, not us.

In this prayer, there is no concern for the world,

There is only the pleasure of Your prostration.

Grant us the ablution.

in which the impurities of sins are washed away,

Grant us a heart.

That beats only for you.

And grant us eyes

that become moist with Your remembrance.

O Allah!

Grant us such a prayer.

After which we say:

“Alhamdulillah! Today I have truly spoken to my Lord.”

O Knower of the hearts!

Make prayer a comfort to our hearts.

Make our prostrations, beloved.

And include us among Your servants.

who love You in prayer.

Amen, O Lord of the Worlds.

End

May Allah make both religion and this world easy for you.

Jazak Allah Khair, with boundless love!
