If you have these 4 things, then?

If you have these 4 things, then?

The journey of life is a test. To succeed on this path, we do not need wealth, fame, power or position, but we just need the qualities that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) presented to humanity through his biography. Among these qualities, there are four specific traits that, if possessed, will make a person dignified, peaceful in this world, and successful in the Hereafter. These 4 qualities have also been mentioned in a blessed hadith.

If you have these 4 things, then let us discuss these 4 qualities in detail and see how important and necessary they are in our practical life:

(1) Not to cheat—the basis of truth and trust

The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said:

“Whoever cheats is not one of us.”

(Sahih Muslim)

Cheating is not just about causing financial loss to someone, but it is also an act of breaking trust. A small lie, a deceptive phrase, revealing someone’s secret, giving false testimony, or not fulfilling a promise made to someone—all these are different forms of cheating.

✅ Why is cheating harmful?

It breaks relationships.

It creates suspicion in hearts.

It hurts honor and dignity.

It invites the wrath of Allah Almighty.

Even if we gain temporary benefit by deceiving someone, we should remember that Allah is watching. He knows what is in the heart.

It is said in the Quran:

“Indeed, Allah does not like the treacherous.”

(Surah Anfal: 58)

✅ How to adopt not to cheat in practical life?

Be honest in business.

Be sincere in relationships.

Stop playing with someone’s hopes.

Consider a promise as a promise; fulfill it.

If you are honest with everyone with a sincere heart, your Lord will protect you Himself, and He will turn hearts to your favor.

If you have these 4 things, then?

(2) Always speak the truth—the key to honor and peace.

The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:

“Speak the truth, for truth leads to righteousness, and righteousness to Paradise.”

(Sahih Bukhari and Muslim)

Truth is a light that purifies a person’s tongue, heart, and actions. A person who speaks the truth is not only beloved by Allah but also becomes dignified in the world.

✅ Blessings of speaking the truth:

The heart finds peace.

The conscience remains awake and satisfied.

People trust

Help in difficult situations

When a person lies, he tells many more lies to cover up each lie, and thus he is stuck in a quagmire. In contrast, a person who speaks the truth may face difficulty only once but ultimately gains lasting freedom.

It is said in the Quran:

“O you who believe! Fear Allah and be with the truthful.”

(Surah At-Tawbah: 119)

✅ Practical ways to speak the truth:

Adopt the truth even in the most trivial of matters.

Do not lie even in jest.

Avoid false oaths.

Do not lie to please anyone.

If you remain steadfast on the path of truth, Allah Almighty will make your path easy, no matter how difficult the time may be.

(3) Good character—the power to win hearts

The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:

“I have been sent to perfect good character.”

(Musnad Ahmad)

Good character is wealth that is more valuable than any great position, wealth, or fame. Good character gives a person a position that people work hard for years to reach.

✅ Types of good manners:

Gentleness

Forgiveness

Humility

Making things for others

Behaving with good manners

The Quran says:

“And invite yourself to the way of your Lord with wisdom and gentleness.”

(Surah An-Nahl: 125)

✅ How to improve manners practically?

Control anger.

Be kind to the younger ones.

Be respectful to the elders.

Behave kindly despite differences.

Do not harbor malice or grudges.

When a person’s manners are good, people automatically draw closer to him, and that person becomes a source of love, peace, and goodness in society. If you have these 4 things,

If you have these 4 things, then? If you have these 4 things, then?

(4) Halal livelihood—food for the soul and peace of mind

The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:

“He who earns halal is the beloved of Allah.”

(Tabarani)

If you have these 4 things,

Halal sustenance is not just a source of food and drink but a source of purification of the heart, mind, and soul. When a person earns halal, his prayers are accepted, his descendants are purified, and his heart is closer to Allah.

✅ Why is halal sustenance important?

Haram sustenance darkens the heart.

Halal sustenance is blessed.

The one who earns halal creates trust in society.

His worship is accepted.

It is said in the Quran:

“O people! Eat what is on the earth that is lawful and good.”

(Surah Al-Baqarah: 168)

If you have these 4 things,

✅ Principles of earning a lawful livelihood:

Do honest business.

Avoid forbidden interest and bribery.

Avoid adulteration.

Do not take advantage of others.

Work on time, pay your salary on time.

A person who earns lawfully is among the most beloved servants of Allah, and this earning improves his worldly and hereafter.

✨ Conclusion—The path to success in this world and the hereafter

To find peace, honor, trust, blessings, love, success, and salvation in our lives, we must develop these 4 qualities within ourselves:

Do not cheat.

Always speak the truth.

Adopt good morals.

Earn a lawful livelihood.

If you have these 4 things, they are the four pillars on which a person of character, success, and the Lord’s favor stands. This is not only the secret of worldly success but also the guarantee of eternal salvation.

If you have these 4 things, then? If you have these 4 things, then?
