Pain… a word that is a part of every human being’s life. Some are suffering from physical pain, while others are going through emotional breakdown. But one truth is common to all in this world: when the pain of life becomes too much, when the heart starts yearning for some support, a person unconsciously calls out to two beings: mother… and father. There are only 2 medicines for pain???
These two relationships are not just words but prayers that are heard before their time. Prayers that do not come out of the heart but rather reside in the heart. All the doctors, psychologists, and sages of the world have their place, but the presence of a father and the lap of a mother are such a balm that reaches the depths of pain and soothes the heart. There are only 2 medicines for pain???
1: Mother: The first name of love
A mother’s embrace is the safest place in the world. When a child comes into the world, the first voice he hears is that of his mother. Mother is not just a nurturer; she is a source of prayers at every turn of life. There are only 2 medicines for pain???
Mother’s Prayer:
It happened many times that I could not tell anyone about the sadness hidden in a corner of life, but Mother felt it without asking. She just placed a hand on my head, and it felt like the worries of the whole world had ended.
I have never forgotten an incident in my personal life. Once I was under severe mental stress. The burden of work, criticism, and the feeling of loneliness were creating a breakdown within me. I did not say anything to anyone; I just sat quietly in the room. Suddenly, Mother came, sat next to me, did not say anything, just held my hand and kissed my forehead. And I… started crying profusely. It felt like all my tears dissolved in the love of a mother. >>There are only 2 medicines for pain???
“Heaven is at the feet of a mother.”
Because what greater worship can there be than a person who sacrifices every breath of his life for his child? If no words can describe a mother’s sacrifice, patience, selflessness and selfless love, then this is the proof of her glory. There are only 2 medicines for pain???
2: Father: Silent shady tree
If a mother’s love is soft and flowing like water, then a father’s love is a silent mountain. He speaks little but does everything. He carries the burden of our dreams on his shoulders and countless worries for us in his heart.
The silent story of a father’s sacrifices:
A father is someone who hides his emotions and laughs just so that we don’t cry.
My own father was always considered to be a strict person. He didn’t talk much, nor did he express much. But one day, when I needed support in a difficult decision, everyone forbade it, but my father silently placed his hand on my shoulder and said only:
“Go, God is with you. I am behind you.”
These small words became the biggest protectors in the world for me.
Father’s discipline, patience and role of support:
A father works hard day and night, sacrificing his sleep, rest and desires. But he never complains. He just gives, without any hope of return. There are only 2 medicines for pain???
3: Parents’ shelter in the sorrows of life:
Life is never kind. Sometimes the poison of loneliness dissolves in it; sometimes the stormy winds of circumstances come. In such a situation, a person feels helpless, empty and tired. But that moment when a person sits with his parents and puts his head on his mother’s lap or leans on his father’s shoulder – that moment is more precious than the whole world.
Parents are that shelter for a person, where no questions are needed, no explanations. They understand everything with just one look.
A mother’s soft voice and a father’s peaceful presence reunite a broken heart.
When a huge loss happened in my life, I broke inside. People consoled me, but no one’s words could touch my soul. But then, one night, I went to my mother’s room. She quietly held my hand and said,
“Son, if anyone has a cure for pain after Allah, it is your parents. We are with you; you are not alone.”
This sentence breathed new life into me.

4: When parents are not with you – the intensity of pain and deprivation
No one can understand the importance of parents better than those whose parents are no longer alive. The intensity of their pain, the longing hidden in their eyes, and the trembling silence in their words – everything is screaming and saying:
“If there was any medicine for pain in the world, it was only their parents.”
When such people are suffering, what they miss the most is their parents’ prayers, their compassion, and their unconditional presence. There are only 2 medicines for pain???
In the Holy Quran, Allah Almighty says:
“”وَقَضىٰ رَبُّكَ أَلّا تَعبُدوا إِلّا إِيّاهُ وَبِالوالِدَينِ إِحسانًا”.”
(And your Lord has decreed that you worship none but Him and that you be dutiful to your parents.)
(Surah Al-Isra: 23)
This verse not only commands us to serve our parents but also teaches us to pray for them even in their absence. >>>>There are only 2 medicines for pain???
5: Light from Quranic verses and Hadiths:
In Islam, the status of parents is so high that Paradise has been placed at their feet, and serving them has been considered better than Jihad.
Some blessed Hadiths:
The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said:
“Serving one’s parents is the best deed after obligatory acts of worship.”
(Bukhari and Muslim)
Hazrat Abdullah bin Masood (RA) asked:
“O Messenger of Allah (ﷺ)! Which deed is the most beloved to you?”
He (ﷺ) said:
“Prayer at its appointed time, kindness to parents, and Jihad in the way of Allah.”
(Sahih Bukhari)
6: Neglecting the importance of parents in the modern era:
Unfortunately, in today’s era, parents are considered a “burden”. The younger generation are living their lives on the basis of their own freedom, their own opinions, and their own interests, forgetting the sacrifices of their parents. When the heart breaks, they remember their parents. Yes, but then they are often far away.
Kiss your parents’ feet when they are alive.
They will not be there tomorrow, and you will only kiss their graves.

7: Serving your parents in life – do not regret later:
The biggest loss in a person’s life is that he appreciates his parents only when they leave this world. Then only memories remain, pictures, and those sentences that could never be understood at the time.
Therefore, treat your parents well while they are alive; give them time, love, and above all, pray for them. Because:
“A father can raise ten children, but even ten children together cannot serve one father.”

8: Pain, prayer and parents: An eternal support:
Every sorrow, every wound, and every decline in life is filled with the prayers of parents. Allah Almighty has placed such an effect in the prayers of parents that it changes destiny.
When no other prayer works, then the mother’s “May Allah do good” and the father’s “I am not” work. >>> There are only 2 medicines for pain???
9: Conclusion: Parents, the greatest mercy of Allah on earth:
Finally, I will just say that if your parents are alive, you are the luckiest person in the world. Talk to them, spend time with them, live for them, and pray for them.

“There are only two medicines for pain – there are fathers, there are mothers.”
