1 the one who has no reality at all
What is the status of this world in the eyes of Allah, the Almighty?
Is this a place for which we should spend our entire lives?
Is this a place for which a person should sacrifice their hereafter, their relationships, their faith, and everything?
1 the one who has no reality at all
Let us think from our hearts.
1. The reality of the world in the light of the Quran and Hadith
Allah Almighty has revealed the reality of the world in many places in the Holy Quran. This world is temporary, mortal, and a place of testing. The person who considers it his real destination is actually suffering from a misunderstanding. 1 the one who has no reality at all
Allah Almighty says:
“وَمَا الْحَيَاةُ الدُّنْيَا إِلَّا مَتَاعُ الْغُرُورِ”
(Al-Hadid: 20)
Translation:
“The life of this world is but a deception.”
This life is only a deception. It is a veil that keeps us away from the truth. We think that these cars, this house, this fame, and this wealth are our success. But all this is just a dream, which will end one day. 1 the one who has no reality at all
2. The testimony of the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ):
The life of the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) teaches us the true value of the world.
Blessed Hadith:
The Prophet (ﷺ) said:
“If the value of the world in the sight of Allah were equal to the wing of a mosquito, He would not give a disbeliever even a sip of water.”
(Tirmidhi, Hadith: 2320)
Think! How big this is!
In Allah’s eyes, the world is worth less than a mosquito’s wing.
What we toil for, which is the focus of our desires, is so trivial to Allah that if it mattered, He wouldn’t give a disbeliever a sip of it.

3. What are we doing? – Look in the mirror.
Today, we, the so-called Muslims, the same people who prostrate before Allah five times a day, who believe the Quran to be the word of Allah, who seek Paradise… We are running after this world.
Day and night, we worry about it.
“May my job be good…”
“May my salary increase…”
“May my post go viral…”
“May my children go to study abroad…”
“May I have a name, a reputation…”
We have made this world the center of our labor…
We have created a world that lacks longevity, loyalty, or support. 1 the one who has no reality at all
4. A nation that licks the world
In this era, the entire Ummah is in a strange state.
We neither think about the Hereafter nor live for the pleasure of Allah.
Our gatherings, our dreams, our targets, our friends, our society—everything revolves around the world.
Have we ever thought,
How many hours a day do we work for the world?
And how many minutes for Allah?
We do school, college, university, office, marketing, business—everything for the world.
But for Allah? Maybe some people don’t even give 5 minutes a day… 1 the one who has no reality at all
5. Who is working for the Hereafter?
Allah Almighty says:
“وَالْآخِرَةُ خَيْرٌ وَأَبْقَى”
(Al-A’la: 17)
Translation:
“And the Hereafter is better and more lasting.”
How clear this is!
Allah Almighty is telling us clearly that this world is going to end, but the Hereafter will remain.
Still, all our strength, all our hard work, all our prayers, all our hopes… for the world?
We should ask ourselves this question every day:
“What have I done for my Lord today?”
1 the one who has no reality at all
6. Why don’t humans cry?
When a person is running after this world despite knowing all this
When a person does not prepare for the Hereafter even after understanding it
When a person remains heedless even after hearing that Paradise is much better
Then this is truly a situation where a person cries over himself.
The phrase that repeatedly pierces the heart:
“If a person does not understand this… then what else should a person cry over?”
Yes, a person should cry.
1 the one who has no reality at all
He should cry over his deprivation, his negligence, his pursuit of this world, and his forgetting of his Lord.
7. Satan’s trap—luxury and negligence
The devil showed us all these dreams:
“If only we discovered this, we could create life…”
“If we achieved that, peace would follow…”
But the truth is:
No dream in the world ever comes true and satisfies a person.
First a job, then the desire for a salary increase, then a car, then a house, then the future of children, then retirement…
Next, the grave awaits us!
Are we among those who have left the Hereafter behind in the world like a mosquito’s wing?
1 the one who has no reality at all
8. When Allah says, “The Hereafter is better,” do we believe?
Allah does not speak of any philosophy in His words but rather states the absolute truth.
The Quran is not just words; it is the truth revealed by Allah.
Allah says:
“بَلْ تُؤْثِرُونَ الْحَيَاةَ الدُّنْيَا وَالْآخِرَةُ خَيْرٌ وَأَبْقَى”
(Surah Al-A’la: 16–17)
Translation:
“But you prefer the life of this world, while the Hereafter is better and more lasting.”
Here Allah is pointing out a strange contradiction:
You prefer the world.
However, the Hereafter is superior and eternal.
These verses are screamingly showing us a mirror.
We abandon the better and pursue the lesser, the mortal and the deceptive world. 1 the one who has no reality at all
9. Paradise—That which the eyes yearn for
Come! Let us get lost in the imagination of Paradise for a few moments.
Hadith Qudsi:
“I have prepared for My righteous servants what no eye has seen, no ear has heard, and no human heart has ever conceived.”
(Bukhari and Muslim)
Just imagine:
Rivers of milk, honey, and purity
Hours unparalleled
Gold, silver, and rubies adorn the walls of palaces.
Fruits whose taste is different every time
We will see Allah in this company!
This is Paradise.
We were made for this place, but we got lost in worldly concerns. 1 the one who has no reality at all
10. What kind of people will attain Paradise?
Paradise. Paradise demands a price.
And that price is faith, action, patience, piety, and detachment from the world.
In the Quran, Allah says:
“Those are the inheritors.”
“أُولَٰئِكَ هُمُ الْوَارِثُونَ الَّذِينَ يَرِثُونَ الْفِرْدَوْسَ ۖ هُمْ فِيهَا خَالِدُونَ” (Al-Mu’minun: 10–11)
Translation:
“These are the ones who will inherit Paradise; they will abide therein forever.”
Who are these people? Those who
are humble in their prayers
Avoid idle talk.
pay zakat
fulfill their covenants
protect their private parts

11. The secret of the world’s deception
This world often seems real to us because
It is before our eyes.
We can touch and feel everything here.
Every day a new fragrance, dress, screen, or fame attracts us.
But the truth is:
This is all a dream!
Everything will end when we close our eyes.
What will remain is only good deeds.
Why are we after the world?
Most of us are after the world because:
We do not believe in the Hereafter.
Or we have considered it just a “story.”
Or we think, “We will repent later.”
But…
Does anyone know that the night that is passing today may not be the last night of life?
Do we know where the next moment will take us?
1 the one who has no reality at all
12. The desire for the Hereafter reduces greed for the world.
1 the one who has no reality at all
When a true Muslim believes in Paradise,
Patience comes
The greed for worldly wealth
The desire for fame decreases.
Diseases such as envy, hatred, and showing off disappear.
A person begins to humble himself, worship, be benevolent, and bow down to Allah.
“إِنَّ اللَّهَ اشْتَرَىٰ مِنَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ أَنفُسَهُمْ وَأَمْوَالَهُم…”
(At-Tawbah: 111)
“Allah has purchased from the believers their souls and their wealth and has given them Paradise in return.”
This bargain is like this:
Price: Your soul, your desire, your
Reward: Allah’s pleasure, the company of the Messenger, the eternal blessings of Paradise
This bargain is not a bargain of loss; this bargain is the most profitable bargain.
There is still time.
This world is about to end. Every day, someone around us leaves this world.
We may be the next.
Make the intention from today:
We will make Paradise our destination.
We will make the world a means, not an objective.
We will do some deeds every day, only for the Hereafter.
And in every supplication we will say:
“O Allah, make us among the people of Paradise, make us successful in its work, and save us from this world and its temptations.”
Man has reason, but does he use it? Is it useful?
Allah Almighty made man the most excellent of creations, gave him reason, gave him consciousness, and then said:
أَفَلَا تَعْقِلُونَ؟
“Have you no reason?”
Does reason say
Sell eternal paradise for the comfort of a few moments?
Forgo the pleasure of the Lord for the pleasure of a few years?
Buy the displeasure of Allah for the praise of people?
1 the one who has no reality at all
Conclusion
May Allah protect us all from the deception of this world, grant us the ability to prepare for the Hereafter, and make the grave, the resurrection, the balance, the bridge to the path, and all the stages easy.
Amen, O Lord of the Worlds.
